Jagran correspondent, Greater Noida. Due to severe level of pollution in NCR, Group 4 restrictions are in force. Despite this, GRAP rules are also being violated indiscriminately. Taking action against polluters, Greater Noida Authority has imposed a fine of Rs 78.25 lakh on 32 builder companies and individuals.

These include NBCC India, RJ Group, Arihant One, La Residencia, Amrapali Leisure Valley, DV Project, KK Project etc. The authority has warned to continue taking strict action against those violating Group 4 rules and polluting.

With the implementation of Grape 4 in NCR, there is also a ban on construction work. There are instructions to keep construction materials covered. The CEO of the authority, NG Ravi Kumar, has given instructions to the officials to strictly follow Group 4.

The project department team under the leadership of ACEO Sumit Yadav is inspecting and taking action against those who violate the restrictions. The team on Friday imposed a fine of Rs 78.25 lakh on 32 companies and people. Instructions have been given to deposit the fine amount in the authority's account within the stipulated time period.

Along with this, instructions have been given to keep the construction material covered and to sprinkle water regularly. A fine of Rs 49.45 lakh was imposed on Thursday. ACEO Sumit Yadav says that the authority is making every possible effort to stop pollution. Fines are being imposed on those who violate the rules. He has appealed for cooperation in prevention.
