Big action in case of escape of two prisoners
State Bureau, Jagran, Lucknow: Major action has been taken in the case of escape of two prisoners from Kannauj District Jail during the New Year party of the jail administration on Sunday night. On getting information about this incident, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's attitude became strict and he directed the head of the prison department to take strict action.
On the instructions of the Chief Minister, the Prison Department suspended the jailer and the deputy jailer along with two others. Along with this, the matter is also being investigated. It is believed that responsibility will be fixed against four along with others and strictest action will be taken. One of the two absconding prisoners is under POCSO Act. Kannauj police has also started searching for the absconding prisoners.
Barrack in-charge Shivendra Singh, Head Jail Warder Shivcharan, Deputy Jailer Badri Prasad and Jailer Vinay Pratap Singh have been suspended following the escape of two prisoners from Kannauj District Jail. There are also instructions for disciplinary action against these four. Along with this, an inquiry has been ordered into the role of Jail Superintendent Kannauj. DIG Jail Kanpur Zone has been made the investigating officer.
Prisoner Ankit and Dumpy absconding from Kannauj
In Kannauj District Jail, Anaugi, during the New Year celebrations on Sunday, the jail superintendent and the jail superintendent kept dancing and singing and two prisoners escaped from the jail by making a rope of blankets. A New Year party was organized by Jail Superintendent Bhimsen Mukund in the District Jail on Sunday night. Dancing and singing was going on in the jail by setting up tents and DJ. Jail officials and prisoner guards were also eating and drinking. During this time, Dimpy alias Shiva of village Malgwan of Thathia police station and Ankit of village Hazrapur of Talgram police station, booked under POCSO Act, made a rope of blankets and escaped by climbing down from the wall.
After counting at ten in the morning, the soldiers informed Jail Superintendent Bhimsen Mukund about the escape of the prisoners. After this everyone lost their senses. DM Ashutosh Mohan Agnihotri and SP Vinod Kumar left the Samadhan Diwas going on in the tehsil and reached the jail in the afternoon and conducted the investigation. SP Vinod Kumar said that the prisoner Dimpy alias Shiva was booked under POCSO Act and Ankit Arms Act. Raids are being conducted in search of both.
