After A Horrific Accident, 3 KM Long Jam On Yamuna Expressway, Vehicles Stopped At Agra Toll Plaza.

Jagran correspondent, Khandauli. After the accident on Yamuna Expressway, there was a long queue of vehicles at Khandauli toll plaza in Agra. After the accident, the Agra-Noida lane was completely closed, causing a jam of about three kilometers long on the Yamuna Expressway. Thousands of vehicles got stuck in the jam and passengers had to suffer for hours. The elderly, women and children faced the most problems.

Let us tell you that at around 2 o'clock on Monday night, several vehicles running at high speed collided with each other on the Yamuna Expressway lane going from Agra to Noida amidst dense fog. Seven buses and two cars caught fire. Many people were trapped inside the vehicles, some saved their lives by jumping off the buses. In this accident, four people have burnt to death and more than 25 injured have been admitted to the hospital.

Three kilometer long jam, vehicles stopped at toll plaza

As a precautionary measure, the toll plaza was closed and vehicular movement was stopped. Till the time of writing the news, the toll plaza remained closed and there was a queue of vehicles about three kilometers long. To smooth the traffic, vehicles were being diverted from the other direction by the administration. Police and administration were busy in normalizing the situation.
