Kamlesh Sharma, Jagran, Bareilly. The process of connecting faith centers with tourism by developing Nath corridor in Nath city has started. Now the government has given approval to set up 29 factories to produce food products. These factories will manufacture cashew snacks, flavored cubes, cookies, skimmed milk powder, soya chaap, Maggi, cup noodles, rice bran oil. The government is also giving grants ranging from Rs 5 crore to Rs 10 crore to entrepreneurs for setting up industrial units.
Once production starts from these factories, the economic condition of the district will be strengthened and thousands of unemployed youth will also get employment. Uttar Pradesh is promoting industrial production of food items under the Food Processing Industry Policy Scheme of the Horticulture Department. 429 projects of food processing have been approved at the government level, out of which maximum 29 projects are from Bareilly.
Most of these factories are being set up in Raju Paraspur and Competent Industrial area. For setting up cold chain based industrial units, 50 percent of the cost up to a maximum of Rs 10 crore is being given, while on normal units, 35 percent of the cost up to a maximum of Rs 5 crore is being given.
Talking about the products of major industrial units, Sadhya Products Private Limited will manufacture namkeen and snacks. Dheer Food Company Private Limited is setting up Bread Processing Unit, Alpearl Industries Private Limited is setting up Automatic Tomato Ketchup Industry. RS Mehak Group is handing over grading and setting up a packing unit. Swatitulsi Reliable Foods Private Limited is setting up a modern namkeen manufacturing factory.
Various types of spices will be made in the factory being set up by Shashtipurti Wellness Private Limited. KJ Foods Private Limited is setting up a rusks and cookies manufacturing unit. Similarly, various jaggery products will be manufactured in the factory of Alauddin Sugar Industries Private Limited. Bareilly Adesh Agrotech Producer Company is setting up a unit of gram flour grading and packing.
Chawla Foods India Private Limited will produce animal feed. Purlal Spices Chilli Powder, Arena Salvex, Refinery Private Limited is setting up Rice Bran Oil Manufacturing Unit. Pulses processing plant is being set up by Gayatri Pulses and namkeen and snacks manufacturing unit is being set up by New Sachin Namkeen Udyog.
Apart from this, units of Biscon Industry, Scaps Food India Private Limited, Murari Cold Storage Private Limited, ND International, Glee Grub India Private Limited, Krishi Discus Private Limited, Indian Veterinary Research Institute, Kanakdham Foods Private Limited, Harnam Das Foods Private Limited, Shree Foods, Sarthak Gronik India Private Limited, ARS Industries, MS Industries, Creation Biotech are also being set up.
Along with giving approval to all these institutions to set up units, grant amount has also been made available to some entrepreneurs. Till now 45 such industrial units are operating in the district, now their number has increased to 74. It is expected that production will start in most of the factories this year. If import and export increases, the district will become economically prosperous and the youth of the division will also be able to get employment nearby.
Bareilly has the maximum number of 29 projects approved in the state under the Uttar Pradesh Food Processing Industry Policy Scheme. A grant ranging from Rs 5 crore to Rs 10 crore is being provided to entrepreneurs to set up a factory. Based on the ongoing work in industrial units, most of the institutions have also received the first and second installments. It is expected that production will start in all the factories this year itself. This will strengthen the economic condition of the district and will also provide employment to thousands of people.
