Air Pollution: Ghaziabad Again Becomes The Most Polluted City Of The Country, GRAP Rules Are Being Implemented

Jagran correspondent, Sahibabad. All efforts to control pollution are proving inadequate. On Friday, Ghaziabad once again remained at the first position among the most polluted cities of the country. The Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 303 here.

Apart from this, air quality in Vasundhara, Indirapuram and Loni was also recorded in very poor category. Ghaziabad's AQI was 272 on Thursday, which increased to 303 on Friday. After staying in the Orange Zone for a day, the air of the district again became poisonous.

Apart from Ghaziabad, AQI above 300 was also recorded in Vasundhara, Loni and Indirapuram. Sanjay Nagar remained in the Orange Zone, but the air quality was still poor.

Regional Officer of Pollution Control Board, Ankit Singh said that continuous efforts are being made to control pollution. GRAP (Graded Response Action Plan) rules are being implemented. Study is also being done on the source of pollution in Vasundhara.
