Ajay Rai and Nana Patole visited Kashi Vishwanath, security increased at Manikarnika
Jagran correspondent, Varanasi. Uttar Pradesh Congress President Ajay Rai and Maharashtra Congress leader Nana Patole reached Kashi Vishwanath Temple on Wednesday afternoon. As soon as the information about Ajay Rai's arrival at the temple was received, police force was deployed at Manikarnika Ghat gate and security arrangements were tightened. Police have expressed apprehension that Ajay Rai may go towards Manikarnika with Congress leaders.
Amidst the ongoing construction work in Manikarnika area and discussions about vandalism during the construction of Ahityabai Statue Corridor, the administration has decided to exercise caution. In this context, the police have cordoned off Manikarnika area for security reasons and police force has been deployed there.
