JNN, Shajapur. In Madhya Pradesh, a case of making children clean toilets has come to light in a government primary school in Shajapur district. Authorities have started investigation after the video of the incident was widely circulated on the internet media.
In the video, a teacher is seen getting the students to clean the toilets. Some girl students also alleged that they are often made to sweep the school premises. A student of class six said that the teacher, citing exams, said that it is important to keep the school clean, hence the bathroom should be cleaned.
At the same time, a parent claimed that he himself saw the children cleaning the toilet. However, the teacher refuted the allegations and said that he had only asked the children to pick up the dry leaves fallen in the premises and the talk of cleaning the toilets was baseless.
On the matter, the District Project Coordinator said that instructions have been given for a detailed investigation. After the investigation report comes, action will be taken against the concerned teacher if found guilty.
