Digital Desk, New Delhi. The shooting that took place during the Mardi Gras parade in a small town in Louisiana, America, has shaken everyone. Six people, including a child, were injured when gunfire erupted during a 'Mardi Gras in the Country' event in Clinton on Saturday.
This accident happened near the courthouse. People were watching the parade there, but within a few moments the atmosphere turned into panic. The police immediately took action and took one person into custody.
The firing took place soon after the parade began. Local Sheriff Jeff Travis said that the parade had started at around 12 noon and the accident happened before it reached the main road.
As soon as the bullets were fired, people started running here and there and the parade was immediately stopped. Among the injured is a 6-year-old child. He is admitted to the hospital in serious condition. Another adult is also in critical condition, while the condition of the remaining injured is said to be stable.
Police are investigating the accident
The East Feliciana Parish Sheriff's Office responded to the scene and began an investigation.
