Amit Shah promised to end Naxalism and development in Bastar
Digital Desk, Raipur. Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday attended the closing ceremony of the divisional level Bastar Olympics held in Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh. On this occasion, he expressed in clear words the government's commitment to the development of Bastar and against Naxalism.
Amit Shah said that Naxalites stopped the development of Bastar for years. They continued to hinder the functioning of roads, electricity, water and other basic amenities, leaving the region behind. But now the situation is changing and the government is moving forward on the path of development with full strength.
The Home Minister said that the country will be completely free from Naxalism by March 31, 2026. He assured that in the coming five years, Bastar will be made the most developed tribal division of the country.
He said that electricity will reach every house in Bastar, every house will have water facility and people will get a better life. Besides, the rich and beautiful tribal culture of Bastar will also be preserved, so that with development, Bastar can further strengthen its identity.
