Jagran correspondent, Mainpuri. In the second phase of One Time Settlement Scheme (OTS), the government has extended the date till February 5. Due to this, defaulters have got additional time for payment. After the extension of date, Superintending Engineer Electrical Mukesh Kumar held talks with the subordinates through virtual medium on Sunday and gave instructions to achieve 100 percent of the target.
Only 46 thousand had registered in the second phase
The Superintending Engineer said in the virtual talk that special attention will have to be paid to never paid and long unpaid defaulters. There is time till 5th February. In such a situation, all the subdivision officers, junior engineers, TGTU and line staff should go to their respective areas and contact the defaulters. Along with getting as many registrations as possible, the work of depositing the outstanding amount will have to be done.
Superintending Engineer handed over targets to subordinates
In the phase till January 31, 46 thousand defaulters had registered themselves under the facility of 20 percent discount. From these the department received an amount of Rs 41 crore. Everyone's work will be reviewed every day in the extended phase till February 5. The Superintending Engineer has also appealed to the consumers to deposit the outstanding amount. It has been made clear that after completion of the due date, the process of disconnection will be initiated against the defaulters.
