Which has also been approved by the government. Besides, a budget of Rs 2.30 crore has also been approved for the blood bank. The medical administration has started the licensing process. After construction of blood bank in the medical college, there will be two blood banks in the district. People are expected to get this facility in the new year.
After years of waiting, the people of the district have started getting the facility of blood bank in the District Joint Hospital of the city. However, due to lack of operations etc. in the district hospital, blood is not consumed. Whenever a patient needs blood.
Due to non-availability of high level health services even in private hospitals, the demand for blood remains low. However, many types of operations have started taking place in the medical college. Due to which there is more need of blood there. In such a situation, to provide immediate blood to the patients admitted there, the hospital administration had sent a proposal for a blood bank to the government about three months ago.
Which has also been approved. Not only this, a budget of Rs 2.30 crore has also been approved by the government for the blood bank. UPPCL will be the executing agency for the blood bank. The old building of the 100 bed district hospital has been selected by the team for the blood bank.
It is expected that in the new year, people will start getting the facility of blood bank in the medical college. There will be no need to wander here and there for blood. Principal Dr. Mukesh Veer Singh said that the blood bank has been approved by the government. The executing agency UPPCL has been selected.
