Chetna Rathore, Noida. These days chirping of birds can be heard in Okhla Bird Sanctuary and Surajpur Wetland of the city. In the winter season, many bird watchers and tourists are coming to see migratory birds. Today is National Bird Day. The Forest Department will create artificial habitats and islands to increase the number of birds in the wetland and Okhla bird sanctuary. To increase the number of tourists, a watch tower and nature path will be prepared.

Besides, a desk will be set up to provide information about birds to as many students as possible. Where students will be able to learn about the migratory and domestic birds coming to the park. Facility will also be provided for management of wetlands and vihars and for creating habitats before the arrival of migratory birds. Migratory birds from 25 countries make their home in the wetland and Okhla Bird Sanctuary.

By stopping for three to four months, we are strengthening the biodiversity. Pollution is becoming a hindrance to the migration of birds. The decline in the number of birds in the last few years is also worrying. The Forest Department has started efforts to increase the number of birds. There will be an increase in the number of birds in the coming season.

Forest department gave information to the students

National Bird Day was celebrated at Okhla Bird Sanctuary. On this occasion, DFO Rajnikant Mittal gave information about birds and wildlife to the students. He said that only through environmental protection, birds can be provided with a comfortable habitat. Tourists and students visiting Okhla Bird Sanctuary have been told about the behavior of birds and their importance.
