Due to weakening of the westerly wind, the day temperature increased for the third consecutive day. Due to the strong sunlight, February is feeling like March. On Tuesday afternoon, most people were seen without sweaters and jackets on the streets.

On Monday, the day temperature in Lucknow increased by almost two degrees and was recorded at 26.4 degrees Celsius, while the night temperature was 10 degrees. According to the Meteorological Department, apart from Central and Eastern UP, the maximum temperature in western districts is also expected to increase by three degrees Celsius for the next four-five days.

According to senior meteorologist Atul Kumar Singh, on Monday morning there was fog for some time in the Terai areas, especially in the districts adjoining Uttarakhand and Nepal, but apart from this there was no effect in most of the districts of the state and there was bright sunshine since morning.

According to the Meteorological Department, the effect of fog will end across the state from Tuesday. Banda remained the hottest district of the state for the second consecutive day on Tuesday, where the maximum temperature was recorded at 29.6 degrees Celsius. Prayagraj was at second place with 28.9 degrees Celsius. Kanpur and Varanasi had the hottest nights, where the minimum temperature was recorded at 12.4 degrees Celsius. At present, there is no active weather system in effect across the state for the next five-six days. Day temperature will increase with strong sunlight. Now the heat is slowly creeping in.
