Goods train derailed in Sahibabad area. RPF
Jagran correspondent, Ghaziabad. Two wheels of a goods train going from New Delhi to Ghaziabad derailed at 9 am on Monday. This accident happened due to broken coupling. The wheels were changed at 5 pm. No train was affected by this. Trains were taken out from another track. The goods train had reached New Delhi with iron from Visakhapatnam. Here the goods train left for Ghaziabad. Two wheels of the goods train derailed near Sahibabad station at nine in the morning. There was a sharp landing of the wheels.
Hearing the sound, the loco pilot stopped the goods train. After this, the trains coming behind were taken out from the other track. The technical team went to the spot and checked and found the coupling broken. For security reasons, RPF personnel also reached the spot.
Due to the goods train being loaded with goods, the technical team had to put in a lot of effort to repair it. It took more than eight hours for the technical team to bring the goods train back on track. The Railways has ordered an investigation into the accident.
The investigation team has inquired about this from the loco pilot, assistant and other staff. CO GRP Sudesh Gupta says that there is no casualty in the accident. The track for some distance has also been damaged due to the wheels of the goods train coming off. After repairing the wheels, the goods train was sent.
