ATS-Jammu Kashmir Police Raid In Meerut, Search For Ubaid Linked To Sleeper Cell Intensified

Jagran correspondent, Meerut. Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) and Jammu and Kashmir Police raided Sarai Bahleem of Kotwali police station area on Sunday. Throughout the day, both the teams searched for Ubaid, who was associated with the sleeper cell of the terrorist organization. He was continuously chatting with her on WhatsApp and other internet platforms.

When he was not found, the team took his two brothers into custody and interrogated them. It is being told that the terrorist organization was preparing to connect the youth with the terrorist organization through chat and preparing a sleeper module. The local police were kept away during the raid.

On Sunday morning, ATS and Jammu and Kashmir Police reached Meerut in several vehicles and registered their arrival at the police station. After this, more than 25 members of both the teams started searching for Ubaid, resident of Sarai Bahlim.

His house was raided but he was not arrested. The team has detained his brother Uzair and a minor brother. Asked relatives for information about Uwaid. He denied having any knowledge.

Till late night, ATS and Jammu and Kashmir Police were interrogating both of them and trying to reach Ubaid. Some other places in the city were also raided in search of him but nothing was found. It is being told that Ubaid was in contact with a terrorist organization of Kashmir.

He used to chat with this terrorist organization on WhatsApp as well as other sites. In this there was talk of involving the youth and spreading the organization. When the intelligence department got hold of this chat, they informed ATS and Jammu and Kashmir Police.

There was discussion that the terrorist organization is preparing a sleeper cell in West UP. Can commit some major crime in UP or Delhi. However, no one is ready to say anything officially about this yet. This will be revealed only after the arrest of Ubaid.
