Along with the administration, Winter Games Association of Uttarakhand is also busy in preparations for the Winter National Games and Auli Carnival organized in Auli. While releasing the schedule of the games, the association has maintained constant contact with the teams of the states. It was told that teams from 14 states including Army, ITBP, CRPF have also sent their consent to participate in the National Games.
For the winter games, the slope is being prepared for the sports event in the old ski slope near tower number 10 along with Nanda Devi slope. Ajay Bhatt, co-secretary of the Winter Games Association and India's ski coach, said that teams from across the country will reach Auli on February 12 to participate in the competition. The opening ceremony of the Games will be organized with cultural programs in Auli on 13th February at 10 am.
On the inauguration day, demo of Khiladi Fun Skiing and skiing will be done. National level joint slalom will be organized in the competition. There will be slalam race on 14th February, snow wading and ski mountain training events on 15th February and medal citations will be given to the players who excelled in the National Games on 16th February.
DM gave instructions to the officers
A meeting was held under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Gaurav Kumar on Thursday regarding the preparations for the Winter Carnival and National Skiing Championship in Auli. During this, the District Magistrate gave necessary guidelines to the officials for grand and successful organization of the event. During the meeting, the District Magistrate instructed the officials to complete the preparations for housing, drinking water, electricity, roads and all other arrangements on time.
At the same time, he instructed Deputy District Magistrate Joshimath to conduct on-site inspection of the venue and helipad and to hold a meeting with local hoteliers and make concrete arrangements for accommodation. He also asked the BRO officials to complete all the arrangements to keep the traffic smooth during the event. He instructed the police officers to make plans for the smooth operation of traffic during the event and make concrete arrangements for security arrangements.
The District Magistrate instructed the Chief Medical Officer to build a temporary hospital in Auli during the event and to make all the arrangements in Joshimath Hospital. On this occasion, Chief Development Officer Dr. Abhishek Tripathi, Tourism Officer Arvind Gaur, ITBP DC Nanak Chand Thakur, AC Vijendra, CMO Dr. Dr. Abhishek Gupta and other officers were present.
