Jagran Team Kathua/Jammu. Union Home Minister Amit Shah will visit the international border in Hiranagar sector of Kathua on Friday. Shah is reaching the border area for the second time in the last 10 months. Earlier, he had come to Vinay post of BSF in April, 2025. This time he will visit BSF's Gurnam and Bobiya posts along the Pakistani border.
This visit of Shah is considered very important. In the last three years, terrorist incidents have increased in Kathua, Samba, Udhampur, Doda and Kishtwar districts. According to sources, most of the terrorists killed or active in the hilly districts of Jammu division have infiltrated from Hiranagar sector itself.

In such a situation, Shah is reaching the border to strengthen the anti-tunnel system and to see the condition of the technical infrastructure to stop infiltration. He will be accompanied by the Home Secretary and many senior officers of BSF and Police.
Constant conspiracies are being hatched from Pakistan side to send drones and smuggle weapons and heroin and deliver ammunition to terrorists through it. Shah can also give many important instructions to BSF. Security has been tightened regarding Shah's visit.
Union Home Minister reached Jammu at 11 pm
Reached Jammu around 11 pm on Thursday night on a three-day tour. Shah was welcomed at Jammu's technical airport by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Sunil Sharma, BJP MLAs and officials. BJP leaders had reached the technical airport at 9.30 pm.
