Digital Desk, Srinagar. Jammu and Kashmir Traffic Department has advised not to travel on the National Highway (NH-44) on Monday night. According to Jammu and Kashmir Traffic Police, there is a possibility of stone fall and landslides due to snowfall and rain. Along with this, frost can also cause slipping.
The decision on movement on National Highway (NH-44) will be taken on Tuesday, January 27. Kishtwar-Sinthan-Anantnag, SSG and Mughal roads are closed due to snowfall. Confirm with traffic control units before travelling.
Actually, the Meteorological Department has predicted snowfall and rain in the next few days. There is a possibility of stone fall and landslides in sensitive areas. Additionally, frost accumulation on the road between Nachalana and Navyug Tunnel due to recent snow accumulation may cause slippage and inconvenience to commuters.
