Nekia, a B.Tech student of Galgotias University, committed suicide.
Jagran correspondent, Greater Noida. A B.Tech student committed suicide by hanging himself in the room of Bhagat Singh hostel located at AWHO Society, Greater Noida West. Police reached the spot after receiving the information and took possession of the body and sent it for post-mortem. The incident happened on Tuesday. He lived with his cousin in the hostel.
It is suspected that the student committed suicide due to a love affair. The student has been identified as 18-year-old Gaurav, originally from Jatu Sayana in Rewari district of Haryana. He was a first year B.Tech student at Galgotias University and was studying while staying in the hostel.
Police investigation has revealed that before committing suicide, Gaurav had sent a message to a girl on phone. Beta 2 police station in-charge Vinod Kumar said that after conducting the post-mortem on Wednesday, the body has been handed over to the victim's relatives. The relatives left for their native village with the dead body. The victim's relatives have not given any complaint to the police in this case.
