In this, senior Congress leader Dr. Indira Hridayesh has won. After this, Indira Hridayesh's son Sumit Hridayesh has won the 2022 assembly elections. However, the mayor of the city has been elected by BJP for the last three terms. If the encroachment is removed this year, then what will be the result of the 2027 assembly elections on this seat can only be speculated at present.

It is not that people suddenly settled in the railway land. This settlement happened gradually, in which along with political protection, administrative processes also took place. Despite being railway land, they were given electricity and water connections. From ration card, Aadhar card to permanent residence certificate were made. Even roads, schools and hospitals were made with government money. People are also raising the question that action should be taken against the then officers and employees for this.
