Student dies after falling from second floor in CT University
Communication Assistant, Jagraon (Ludhiana). A student died after falling from the second floor of the building at CT University, located near village Chowkiman on the Ludhiana-Ferozepur main road. The deceased has been identified as Shavleen Khatoon (resident – Kirpal Nagar, Ludhiana), who was a BBA second semester student of the university.
According to preliminary information, Shavleen was waiting for the lift on the second floor with another student. When the lift arrived late, she stood with the support of the railing, then suddenly she lost her balance and fell headlong into the basement, due to which she was seriously injured.
Immediately after the accident, the university management tried to take him to the hospital, but he died on the way. As soon as information about the incident was received, ASI Atma Singh of Police Chowkiman reached the spot and started investigation. Action under Section 174 has been taken on the statement of the deceased's father Mohammad Ajmal.
The deceased has two sisters and two brothers. The sisters are currently studying, while the brothers are involved in business with their father. As soon as information about the accident was received, DSP Jaswinder Singh Dhindsa and MLA Sarbjit Kaur reached Manuke Civil Hospital and expressed condolences to the family members.
