Bhagalpur: Drug Addicts Puff And Throw Cigarettes, Smoke In RWD Office Premises

Late Thursday night, smoke was coming out from the room in a room in the RWD office complex located at Mayaganj Kuppa Ghat in Barari police station area and smoke was coming out from the room till Friday afternoon on the second day. How the fire started is not yet known. But departmental officials are suspecting that drug addicts might have thrown the burning cigarette into the room. Due to which fire broke out.

Officials said that drug addicts climb the wall and enter the premises after the office is closed. There is a gathering of smack, brown sugar and alcoholics. Behind the office, there is a barren land of the Health Department, in which there is a plan to build a power grid by the name of Barari. There is a gathering of drug addicts and gamblers throughout the day. Employees remain troubled by the actions of drug addicts.

When protested, they resort to violence. Even the computer was stolen by climbing the back wall. The cooperation that is expected from the police is not being received. The room where the fire broke out 12-13 years ago was the office of Navagachia Division. Now shifted to Navgachia.

Navgachia Division Executive Engineer Ravindra Kumar Sharma said that all the documents and goods were brought to Navgachia at the time of shift. Therefore, no important departmental documents and items were damaged in the fire. The garbage must have caught fire. Here, Bhagalpur Division Executive Engineer Pratap Paswan has denied filing a case.

Superintendent Engineer Deepnarayan Prasad said that both the old buildings have been condemned. Which has been instructed to break. Demolition action will be taken after the process is completed.

He said that from the security point of view the boundary wall of the office complex will be further raised. Barbed wire will be installed. So that there is no gathering of drug addicts. He also said that cooperation will be sought from the district administration for security.
