Jagran correspondent, Ghaziabad. Special Judge (POCSO Act) Neeraj Gautam has sentenced Alisher, accused of raping a girl from Loni police station area, to Kaliyar in Haridwar for 10 years. Besides, a fine of Rs 20 thousand has also been imposed.

Alisher had taken the girl to Kaliyar Dargah in Haridwar district on the pretext of visiting her and raped her. After raping her, he kept taking her around the Dargah. The accused used to work at the tea shop of the girl's mother. The matter concerns two communities.

On January 18, 2020, Alisher had seduced the 16-year-old daughter of a shop owner. The girl's family had filed a complaint against the accused. The police recovered the girl and arrested the accused. The victim told the police that she used to call Alisher 'Tauji'. He took her to a hotel on the pretext of taking her for a ride. There Alisher fed him food.

After this she became unconscious. When she regained consciousness, she was locked in a room with Alisher. When Alisher was asked where he was, he told that he had come to visit Roorkee in Haridwar. He tried to call his relatives but the accused broke the SIM of the mobile.

The accused raped her while she was unconscious. Even after she regained consciousness, he raped her several times. After this Alisher took him to Kaliyar Dargah. When she returned with him to his room, the police caught them. The police sent the accused to jail. Police filed charge sheet in the court.

Medical examination confirmed rape of the girl. The government lawyer presented witnesses and evidence. The court convicted Alisher on the basis of evidence.
