On receiving the information, the villagers handed over the youth along with the meat to the PRB team. The police took the youth to the police station, where he is being interrogated.
At 12 noon on Tuesday, Gaura resident Vivek Kumar Kanojia, son of Kanik Lal and other youths were strolling on the road in the village. Meanwhile, his eyes fell on the black bag tied behind the young man going on the bike. When in doubt, the youth interrogated him, but he could not give a satisfactory answer.

The PRB team reached the spot and caught the youth with the bike and suspicious meat and brought him to the police station.
During interrogation, the youth revealed his name as Ejajul Hasan, son of Jamirul Hasan, resident of Rasoolpur Dussehri Bagh, police station Gorakhnath, district Gorakhpur. He told that he was going to sell meat from the slaughter house located in Jafra Bazar, Gorakhpur. Police station in-charge Inspector Satish Kumar Singh said that a veterinarian has been called to examine the meat. Legal action is being taken by taking the youth into custody.
Vishwa Hindu Mahasangh officials reached the police station, demanding action
On receiving information about the incident, District Vice President of Vishwa Hindu Mahasangh Ashutosh Tripathi alias Inspector, District Vice President Dheeraj Pathak and District Vice President of Gauseva Cell Sanjay Sharma reached Bakhira police station and met the inspector in-charge.

Ashutosh Tripathi demanded immediate and strict action against the accused and said that strict action should also be taken against the mastermind of this case. He said that such incidents are continuously coming to light in the state. Dheeraj Pathak also demanded strict action against the culprits. Inspector in charge said that necessary legal action is being taken in the matter.
