Pintu Madheshiya, a resident of Maharajganj, had married his 19-year-old daughter Saloni to Divyanshu Gupta, a resident of Kanshiram Awas in Jafarpur of Sidhari police station area, eight months ago. Divyashu drives an e-rickshaw. On Monday afternoon, Divyashu returned home driving an e-rickshaw.
During this, Saloni gave food in a plate to her husband Divyanshu. Once again there was a dispute between the two regarding some issue and the husband did not eat the food. Angered by her husband not eating food, Saleni threw the food into the drain. After this she went to her room. After some time, when the husband went into the room, the door was locked from inside.
He started calling his wife but no voice came from inside. When he looked from the window, Saloni was hanging from a noose on the roof with the help of her saree.
Hearing the screams, people nearby reached the spot and broke the door and brought him down with a noose. He was immediately taken to Mission Hospital where the doctor declared him dead. The relatives are in bad condition and crying due to the news of death.

The police arrived on the information of the father and investigated. 17 year old Darpana, resident of Kudhapar, was alone at home in the evening. His parents had gone to the fields to work.
