Jagran correspondent, Bhagalpur. Three ambitious schemes will be implemented with the CSR fund of Rs 3.48 crore for the development of education, security and teaching facilities in the district. Regarding this, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between District Magistrate Dr. Naval Kishore Chaudhary and Chief Manager of NTPC Kahalgaon Mr. Ravindra Patel at Samiksha Bhavan on Friday. After the MOU, District Planning Officer Mr. Monu Kumar and Senior Manager (HR-CSR) of NTPC Kahalgaon Mr. K.K. Files were exchanged between Singh.
Under the agreement, in the first plan, Bhagwan Library will be developed as a divisional library. An amount of Rs 1.20 crore has been sanctioned for this. This library will be completely converted into digital format, where e-books, online study material and modern reading facilities will be available. Under the second scheme, smart classes and libraries will be constructed in 10 government schools of the district at a cost of Rs 78 lakh 96 thousand.
This will give students an opportunity to study through modern technology and the educational quality will improve. Whereas under the third plan, surveillance posts equipped with CCTV will be established at major places of the city with an amount of Rs 1.50 crore. With this, security arrangements will be strengthened at traffic, crowded areas and sensitive places. On the occasion of this MoU program, Joint Director Public Relations Nagendra Kumar Gupta, District Education Officer Rajkumar Sharma, NTPC AGM (HR) Bhaskar Gupta, Executive (CSR) Manoranjan Sarangi and other senior officials were present.
Smart class and library will be built in the middle school of the aspirational block.
District Education Officer Rajkumar Sharma said that the smart class and library facility to be built in 10 schools will include middle schools of five aspirational blocks, while the remaining five will be from other blocks. He said that in this regard, through BEO, a list of two schools having buildings is being sought from all the blocks including the five aspirational blocks. Then, after physical inspection, its detailed list will be made available to the District Officer, so that the work can be started quickly.
CCTV will be installed and checkpoints will be built on Vikramshila bridge and entry point.
Under CSR, CCTV cameras and speed tractor cameras will be installed at the entry point of Vikramshila bridge district to strengthen security and traffic monitoring in the district. The main objective of this scheme is to control insensitive activities of workers, keep an eye on overloaded vehicles and ensure safety on major transport routes of the district. Under this, technically modern cameras and surveillance equipment will be installed, which will ensure 24-hour recording and real-time monitoring.
