Jagran correspondent, Ara. A young man riding a bike died, while his cousin got seriously injured in a road accident that took place on Tuesday evening between Manbhavan turn and Koilwar police station on Ara-Patna National Highway in Koilwar police station area of Bhojpur district.
The accident occurred when a speeding KTM bike collided with a Nilgai crossing the road. The deceased has been identified as Chandan Kumar, 28, son of ward councilor Shishupal Rai of ward number two of the panchayat, resident of Dhandiha village of Koilwar police station area.
He used to work as billing in a shop. The injured youth is Sunny Yadav, 17 year old son of Bhuan Rai, resident of Kazichak village of the same police station area. Both of them are said to be cousins.
According to the information, Chandan Kumar had gone to his cousin brother Sunny Yadav's house. From there both were going towards Sakdi on bike. During this time, their bike suddenly collided with a Nilgai crossing the road between Koilavar police station and Manbhavan turn, due to which both were seriously injured.
With the help of local people, both of them were brought to Koilavar PHC for treatment, where after first aid, the doctors referred them to Ara Sadar Hospital, seeing their condition serious.
On reaching Ara Sadar Hospital, doctors declared Chandan Kumar dead. In the family, mother Urmila Devi, sisters Savitri and Jyoti and brother Kundan Kumar were in a bad condition.
