Jagran correspondent, Muzaffarpur. The Excise Department team raided different places and arrested nine liquor barons including those accused under the Arms Act. A huge quantity of liquor was seized from their hideout. After interrogation, everyone was sent to jail. One of the accused is a minor, he was sent to observation home. A case of theft and robbery is already registered against him in Meenapur police station.

Giving this information, Excise Inspector Deepak Kumar Singh said that Amit Kumar of Gajaichak, Meenapur was arrested with a bike and six cartons of liquor. A case of Arms Act and attempt to murder has been registered against him. Apart from this, Roshan Kumar was arrested from Sherpur with 24 cartons of Uttar Pradesh manufactured liquor. He had kept the liquor stocked behind a curtain in the empty space behind the house.

On receiving secret information, liquor was recovered by raiding with SI Amarendra Kumar, Pooja Kumari, ASI Neeraj Kumar, Rajkumar and Vikram Kumar. Apart from this, the team arrested Santosh Kumar from Gahua Chak of Motipur and Shani Kumar from Rasulaganj with 109 liters of country liquor and two bikes, Ruplal Sahni from Vishunpur Basant of Saraiya with two liters of country liquor, Dilip Kumar from Akharaghat with 11.60 liters of foreign liquor, Dinesh Kumar from Bahilwara of Saraiya, Deepak Mahato from Mushahari Prahladpur with liquor.
