Preparations intensified to cancel the allotment for not setting up an industry in Gida. Awakening

Jagran correspondent, Gorakhpur. Gorakhpur Industrial Development Authority (GIDA) has started taking strict action against allottees who do not set up industries despite being allotted land years ago. After not getting a satisfactory response to the notice issued earlier, the GIDA administration has issued a final notice to 18 allottees and summoned them.

If satisfactory evidence is not presented within the stipulated time, their allotment will be cancelled. This action has also increased the anxiety of more than 100 allottees due to various shortcomings. Action is possible on these also.

Recently, during his visit to Gorakhpur, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, while reviewing the progress of industrial units in Gida, had given clear instructions that strict action should be taken against those who do not establish industries even after taking land. In compliance with this, GIDA administration has started action by preparing a list of inactive allottees.

The GIDA administration has given the concerned 18 allottees an opportunity to present their views on three working days between 10th to 13th February. Officials say that this last chance is being given so that no dispute or objection remains after the cancellation of allotment.

According to the information, in the last five to six years, about 50 allottees have been identified who neither deposited the outstanding amount on time nor showed interest in setting up the industry. Their dues range from Rs 50 lakh to Rs 5 crore. GIDA says that by canceling the inactive allotment, the land will be given to new investors, which will speed up the pace of industrial investment.

18 allottees have been given the opportunity to present their views by giving final notice. If the reply is not satisfactory, the allotment will be canceled and a fresh advertisement will be issued.
