Digital Life Certificate Campaign 4.0 has started in Lucknow division. Under this initiative, pensioners will now be able to submit their life certificate sitting at home with the help of mobile phone, face authentication app or biometric device.
On the occasion of the launch of the campaign, a senior officer of the division said that the objective of this facility is to provide convenience to senior citizens and unwell pensioners. Often old pensioners had to stand in long queues at banks or offices, which caused a lot of trouble to them. Now this process has become completely digital.
Life certificate can be submitted online through Aadhaar based face authentication or biometric verification. Special camps will also be organized soon under the Digital Life Certificate Campaign 4.0, where employees and pensioners will be informed about the process.
Railway officials said that this facility will not only save time, but will also make the process transparent and secure. Pensioners will have to download the Jeevan Pramaan app in their mobile and enter the Aadhaar number and pension details. After this, the certificate will be automatically sent to the concerned department through OTP or biometric authentication.
Divisional Railway Manager Sunil Kumar Verma says that pensioners have been appealed to take maximum advantage of this digital facility and if necessary, get help from the nearest station or help center. This initiative is expected to directly benefit all railway pensioners.
