NCERT has said that all the new textbooks of class 9th will be prepared by March. Along with this, NCERT draft syllabus for class 11 books will also be released.
Many changes in syllabus
Many changes have been made in the new syllabus as compared to the old syllabus. The curriculum has been made skill based. Where understanding, analysis and experimentation is involved instead of memorization. Indian knowledge tradition has been included in every subject. Ayurveda in science and contributions of ancient mathematicians in mathematics are included.
Now the subjects will not be taught separately but will be linked together. Like science with art or mathematics with sports. The evaluation system will be completely changed and will be two-tier.
First the knowledge of the students will be assessed and then their efficiency will be assessed. The learning process is being made practical and experiment based. In which projects, models and local surveys will be included.
