Ban on night flights from Babatpur airport for one year
Jagran correspondent, Varanasi. Now there will be a ban on night flights from Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport Babatpur for one year. This system was implemented from Monday. Under this, there will be no flight operations for eight hours from 11:30 pm.
During this period, runway extension and strengthening work of the airport will be done. Strengthening of runway work, lighting system and other technical facilities will be upgraded so that landing and takeoff of big aircraft can be done easily in future.
Airport Director Puneet Gupta said that important work related to the runway has to be done. For this reason, flight operations have been banned for eight hours from 11:30 pm. This decision has been taken keeping in mind the safety and long-term strength of the runway.
