Five Arrested For Supplying Fake Liver Medicine To Medical Stores In Ghaziabad

Muradnagar police arrested five people supplying fake medicines on Saturday.

Jagran correspondent, Ghaziabad. Muradnagar police on Saturday arrested five people who were supplying fake liver medicine Liv 52. Fake tablets worth 50 thousand Liv 52 have been recovered from the accused. In the last four months, the accused have sold 60 thousand tablets at medical stores in Aligarh, Mathura, Bijnor, Agra, Meerut and Shamli.

This tablet was available to customers in the market at 20 percent lower price. The accused were getting this medicine made from Subco Laboratories of Sonipat, Haryana by paying money. Instead of healing the liver, this medicine was harming the health. DCP Rural Surendra Nath Tiwari said that a complaint was received in the police station about Mukesh Kumar of Adarsh ​​Colony of Muradnagar preparing fake medicines of Himalaya Wellness brand and supplying them in the market by NP Trading. The accused were supplying medicines to medical stores in the market with the help of fake GST numbers, fake drug licenses and forged documents.

The police had registered a case under sections 318 (4), 336 (3), 340 (2), 274, 276 of the BNS, sections 18 (a), 18 b, 27 of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act and section 65 of the Copyright Act. On Saturday, Muradnagar police arrested five accused.

The accused were identified as Mayank Aggarwal resident of Tiwari Road Bagh Colony police station Modinagar, Anup Garg resident of Bansaram Park Bindapuram West Uttam Nagar Delhi, Tushar Thakur resident of Subhash Nagar Ghukna Nandgram, Akash Thakur resident of Dewan Farm Hindon Vihar and Nitin Tyagi resident of Niwari.

500 wrapper sheets of Liv-52, 1200 green lids, 1200 white plastic boxes, a total of 50 thousand Div-52 tablets in 10 transparent polythenes and a Bagnr car have been recovered from the accused. The packaging material of the accused medicine was prepared in Meerut and the tablets were prepared in Sonipat.

Representatives of Himalayan Company had received information from Aligarh about fake tablets being sold in the market. Company representatives received information that the goods were sent by courier from Muradnagar. The courier told that the firm was registered for trading in the name of Joni, resident of Jalalabad, police station Muradnagar.

The accused were getting political protection

The arrested Nitin Tyagi was getting political protection. After being arrested, there was pressure on the police to release him. Nitin Tyagi has a medical store in Modinagar. He was informed by Mayank Agarwal. Mayank has been in MR. Anoop Garg and Akash Thakur have worked as electricians. Both of them were unemployed for a long time.

Tushar is studying paramedical from a renowned medical college in Ghaziabad. Tushar has played an important role in making the medicine. After the goods were ready, it was Akash's responsibility to courier them.

Instead of healing the liver, it was causing damage.

The company's pharmaceutical experts claimed that counterfeit medicines are harmful to health. Right now it is being investigated what was being used in making the medicine. For this, the police have sent the samples to the laboratory for testing. After the report comes, it will be known how much harm was being caused to the body by eating it. The price of fake medicine in the market was 20 percent less than the original medicine but the medical store operators made more profit. Medical store operators were getting 45 percent more profit than the original medicine.

Police busy searching for absconding accused

The role of Joni Singh and Farman of Jalalabad village of Muradnagar is important. Farman used to prepare fake billing of GST. The owner of NP Trading Company is Mukesh Kumar. The money for the medicines sold came into the accounts of NP Trading Company only. Police is busy searching for these three. At the same time, the police is also locating the owner of Subco Laboratories.
