Samvad Sutra, Jagran Sultanpur (Haridwar). In Kasba Sultanpur area, the dispute between two parties over a minor dispute between children escalated so much that the matter reached the level of fighting with sticks. About 10 people including four women were injured in this fight.
Police reached the spot after receiving the information and pacified both the parties and sent the injured to the hospital for treatment. According to the police, late on Saturday evening, an altercation broke out between Gulsher, a resident of the town, and small children from the Aman side. The elders of both the parties also got embroiled in the dispute between the children, after which the matter escalated.
People from both sides came out of the houses and after abusing, fighting started. The people present at the spot somehow intervened and calmed down the fight. At around five o'clock on Sunday evening, both the sides once again came face to face. First there was an altercation and abuse, then the dispute escalated so much that dozens of people from both sides fought with sticks.
There was fierce fighting from both sides for about 15 minutes. About 10 people from both sides, including Gulsher, Shaukeen, Shakeel, Aman, were injured, including four women.
The police sent all the injured to the hospital for treatment. A complaint has been filed by both the parties in Sultanpur police post. Sub-Inspector Ranjit Nautiyal said that the injured have been sent to the hospital and the matter is being investigated.
