Tragic accident in Fatehabad, Haryana. photo awakening
Samvad Sutra, Ratia (Fatehabad). A youth riding a bike died in a tragic road accident last night near village Teliwada of Ratia sub-division. The deceased has been identified as Harpreet Singh (34), resident of Dhani Babanpur, who used to work as an orchestra in the city.
According to the information, Harpreet was returning to his village on bike after completing his work in the city on Saturday night. On Sunday morning, passersby saw him lying dead in a pit in the fields on the roadside. After this he immediately informed the family and the police. Police reached the spot, took possession of the body, sent it for post-mortem and started investigation.
The family members had initially suspected head injury and termed the incident as an accident. When the police team inspected the spot along with the villagers, they found that there was a sharp turn of the road at the accident site, where there was a high possibility of the bike losing balance. In the preliminary investigation, it is believed that the bike went out of control at a sharp turn and fell into a pit in the field, due to which the young man died due to serious head injury.
Sadar police station in-charge Prahlad Rai and beat officer Praveen Kumar said that the statements of the father of the deceased have been recorded. Further action will be taken only after the post mortem report comes. The police have appealed to the people to take special care at sharp turns at night.
