There is news of great relief for the people of Delhi-NCR as the restrictions of GRAP-4 have been lifted.
Jagran correspondent, New Delhi. The people of Delhi and NCR have got a big relief. In view of the improvement in air quality, the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) has lifted the strict restrictions of GRAP-4 with immediate effect. This will end the ban on construction work and the entry of non-essential trucks will be able to resume.
However, GRAP Phase-1, 2 and 3 measures will still be in place to keep pollution levels under control. The decision was taken as Delhi's average AQI has reached 'very poor' category, but has come out of 'severe+'.
CAQM took this step in compliance with the directions of the Supreme Court. Experts say that the air has improved due to change in weather. Now there is an appeal to the people to use public transport and help in reducing pollution.
