Accused Confessed To The Crime In Mathura Chowkidar Murder Case, Body Not Found In Yamuna; Police Searching

In the case of murder of a watchman in Jamunapar and throwing his body in Yamuna, the police searched the river for the second day as well, but the body was not found. The police is using divers to search the place indicated by the accused. Due to illicit relationship with the mother, the accused married the watchman to drink alcohol. Then he was strangled to death. After this, the dead body was put in a sack and thrown into Yamuna.

Randhir Singh, resident of Shahpur, was a watchman in Uma Vatika for 20 years. Mahendra Singh, his son Sonu and wife also live in the garden with him. Randhir Singh had gone for duty on 18 January. Came out after drinking alcohol in the evening. Sonu strangulated Randhir Singh to death. His body was filled in a sack and thrown into the Yamuna river.

When Randhir Singh did not reach home for two days, his son Dharmendra lodged a missing complaint at Jamunapar police station. Also, Sonu was detained by the police under suspicion. Sonu told the police that Randhir Singh had illicit relations with his mother. One day when I saw him doing obscenity, I decided to put him to death.

Got a chance on 18th January. Gave liquor to the watchman. Then the crime was committed. After accepting the crime, the police have taken Sonu into custody. Search is being done through steamers and divers in Yamuna river to recover the dead body.

Jamunapar police station in-charge Videsh Kumar said that the accused has confessed to the crime, but the body has not been recovered yet. Search is being done in the river. After recovery of the body, action will be taken against the accused.
