List of changes in Tata Steel to be effective from January-February 2026 released.
Jagran correspondent, Jamshedpur. With the aim of making Tata Steel more competitive in the market, the management on Monday made a major change in the organizational structure.
The company has created a new post of Chief Organization Design and Transformation and handed over its responsibility to senior officer Mukesh Aggarwal. At the same time, while changing the leadership in West Bokaro, Ashutosh Kumar Pandey has been promoted and given important responsibility.
According to the circular issued under the signature of Tata Steel CEO and MD TV Narendran, these steps have been taken to modernize the structure, design and work culture within the company.
These transfers and new appointments of officers will be effective from January 1 and February 1 in the new year. In the most important change, Mukesh Aggarwal, who was till now serving as Chief HRBP (TSJ, TSG and HMC), has now been made 'Chief Organization Design and Transformation'.
His appointment will be effective from January 1 and he will look after his work from Jamshedpur only. Along with the new role, he will also continue to fulfill his additional responsibility of Chief Wellness Officer as before. Until the appointment of a new officer to his old post becomes effective, he will continue to look after that work in the interim.
Due to the change in the role of Mukesh Aggarwal, a series of changes have been made in the responsibilities of the officers in the HR department, which will be effective from 1 February 2026.
Under this, Chief HRBP Yashwant Kumar Pandey posted in Kalinganagar has been called back to Jamshedpur. He will now replace Mukesh Agarwal in Jamshedpur.
Tata Steel Meramandali Chief HRBP Amitabh Chandra Jha has been transferred to Kalinganagar to fill the vacancy in Kalinganagar due to Yashwant Kumar Pandey's arrival in Jamshedpur.
Prashant Kumar Nanda in place of Amitabh Chandra Jha.
Similarly, Prashant Kumar Nanda, who had gone on deputation to NINL to replace Amitabh Chandra Jha, has returned. Nanda will now take over as Chief HRBP of Tata Steel Meramandali from Angul.
There has also been a significant leadership change in the Coal and Raw Materials division. Bondada Venkat Sudhir Kumar, posted as Chief Coal Beneficiation here, is retiring on February 1 after 27 years of excellent service.
Ashutosh Kumar Pandey has been promoted as Chief Coal Beneficiation in his place. Ashutosh was currently holding the responsibility of Head (O&M) Washery-III. He will start working as Chief-Designate from January 1 and will take over the full charge from February 1 after the retirement of Sudhir Kumar.
Ashutosh, who has done B.Tech from ISM Dhanbad, has been associated with Tata Steel since 2008 and will now head the department from West Bokaro. Tata Steel family has appreciated the contribution of Sudhir Kumar who is retiring and has congratulated all the officers assuming the new responsibility.
Ratan Tata's statue unveiled in Jamshedpur campus
On the birth anniversary of former Tata Group Chairman Ratan Tata, a statue of Ratan Tata was unveiled at the Tata Motors Jamshedpur plant complex on Sunday. Girish Wagh and Shailesh Chandra unveiled his statue online from the company headquarters. Here at the Jamshedpur plant, factory head Sunil Tiwari garlanded the statue.
The statue of former Tata Group Chairman JRD Tata was installed. The statue of JN Tata is already installed near the company's general office gate. Photographs of these two great men (JRD and Ratan Tata) were installed next to them.
At 9.30 in the morning, union officials, committee members etc. along with senior officials of the plant mainly attended the said place and paid tribute to Ratan Tata. Officials from the company headquarters also participated through video conferencing.
