Bihar DElEd 2026: Joint Entrance Examination On January 19 For 30,800 Seats, Applications Till December 24

Jagran correspondent, Muzaffarpur. Enrollment in D.El.Ed will be done on the basis of joint entrance examination. The application process for D.El.Ed Joint Entrance Examination 2026 has started from Bihar School Examination Board. Online application will be till 24th December.

The joint entrance examination for admission to 30,800 seats in 306 D.El.Ed colleges of the state will be held from January 19, while the result will be released in March. The duration of the examination will be of two and a half hours. 120 objective and multiple choice questions will be asked in the examination.

In the examination, 25 questions of General Hindi, Urdu, 25 of Mathematics, 20-20 questions of Science, Social Studies, General English and 10 questions of logical and analytical ability will be asked. 120 marks are prescribed for 120 questions.

Bihar School Examination Committee will conduct examination regarding enrollment. Whereas, for enrollment in D.El.Ed colleges, enrollment will be done on the basis of first, second and third merit list. The enrollment process will end by June and the session will start from July.

General Hindi, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, General English, Logical and Analytical questions will be asked in the examination. To appear in the examination, general category, economically backward general category candidates, backward class, extremely backward class students will have to pay an application fee of Rs 960. Whereas, Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates will have to pay Rs 760.

Polytechnic, ITI candidates are not eligible for enrollment

People having Shastri, Polytechnic, ITI or any other type of qualification will not be able to fill the D.El.Ed entrance exam form. They will not be eligible for enrollment in D.El.Ed course. But if a candidate has obtained the qualification in Intermediate under Vocational Course or who has obtained the qualification in Inter after Madhyamik or Intermediate after Faukaniya, they will be eligible for enrollment in D.El.Ed course. The minimum age limit of the candidate has been fixed at 17 years as on January 1, 2026.
