Bihar Government: IAS Manesh Kumar Meena In Action Mode, Served Notice To 10 Poor Performing Districts

State Bureau, Patna. The Mines and Geology Department has given show cause notices to the 10 worst performing districts. Besides, instructions were given to intensify raids against illegal mining and transportation and ensure recovery of penalties, so that revenue collection improves.

On Tuesday, Mines and Geology Director Manesh Kumar Meena gave these instructions in a review meeting held with the officials of the department. Mineral Development Officers and Assistant Directors of various districts remained connected in the meeting through video conference.

Meena said in the meeting that do not wait till the end of the month to achieve the revenue target, but set targets on a daily basis and achieve them compulsorily. For this, every district should prepare a clear action plan and ensure effective action by taking full cooperation of the concerned police stations.

He said that the process of speedy auction of seized vehicles, auction of seized sand, speedy execution of pending cases related to storage license, process of tender for unauctioned and extradited sand ghats and inspection of all brick kilns and issuance of notice for deposit of royalty should be expedited.

He was instructed to ensure disposal of complaints received in additional ATR within 24 to 48 hours. He said that achieving the revenue target is the top priority and strict action will be taken against the officials who indulge in any kind of negligence in this work.
