State Bureau, Patna. The form of the newly formed Higher Education Department has been revealed. Now officers, branch officers and clerks are to be posted on a total of 161 posts created in this, in which the post of Higher Education Secretary has been posted. A proposal for posting on the remaining 160 posts was sent to the General Administration Department, from where approval has been received.
Out of the total 161 posts created for the Higher Education Department, one post is for Additional Chief Secretary or Principal Secretary or Secretary of the Indian Administrative Service. Secretary has been posted on this post. In the remaining 160 posts, one post of Special Secretary is also for an Indian Administrative Service officer. Three posts are of Bihar Administrative Service. Among these, there is one post each of Additional Secretary and Joint Secretary and two posts of Deputy Secretary.
There are three posts of Deputy Secretary, seven of Under Secretary, 16 of Branch Officer and 48 posts of Assistant Branch Officer of Bihar Secretariat Service. Along with this, there is one post of Internal Financial Advisor, one post of Principal Additional Secretary, three posts of Additional Secretary, one post of Assistant Internal Financial Advisor, three posts of Personal Assistant, seven posts of Stenographer, 11 posts of Upper Division Clerk, 19 posts of Lower Division Clerk, six posts of Driver, 28 posts of Office Attendant and one post of I.T. Manager.
The services of data entry operators and other personnel are to be taken on outsourcing basis through Beltran as per requirement. At present the Higher Education Department is waiting to get space and officers and employees. Because till now the Higher Education Department has neither got the space nor has got officers and employees other than the Secretary.
After formation of a separate department, a letter was written to the Building Construction Department to provide space and to the General Administration Department to provide officers and employees against the posts created. For this, the Higher Education Department has already sent reminder letters to both the departments twice.
