Jagran correspondent, Bhagalpur. : A grand civic felicitation ceremony was organized in the city to commemorate the appointment of Bihar's Industries and Road Construction Minister Dilip Jaiswal as the minister in-charge of the district. The program was held at a hotel in Mandroja, where the minister was warmly welcomed by the city's enlightened citizens, academicians, businessmen and political activists.
The event not only honored the new responsibility of the Minister but also highlighted new possibilities for the development of Bhagalpur. Minister Dilip Jaiswal was welcomed with flower garlands and in a traditional manner. During this, a large number of BJP workers including Bharatiya Janata Party District President Santosh Sah, City MLA Rohit Pandey, Legislative Council Member Dr. NK Yadav, Navgachia District Incharge Pawan Mishra, Mayor Dr. Vasundhara Lal and media panelist Dr. Preeti Shekhar were present.
Minister Dilip Jaiswal in his address highlighted the achievements of the Central and State Government. He said, 'Development work is happening rapidly in Bihar under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the guidance of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. The mandate given by the public will be fully respected. We are committed to making Bihar better. The pairing of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is quite a hit across the country. Due to the joint efforts of both, there is a government of good governance in Bihar. Development is taking place here.
Various development schemes will come to fruition in Bhagalpur district, and soon there will be improvement in industrial development, road construction and other basic facilities. Referring to the historical importance of Bhagalpur, Jaiswal said that the district being situated on the banks of river Ganga is ideal for tourism and business, and the government schemes will further strengthen it.
He said that many development works including Green Field Air Port, Four Lanes, Industrial Corridor etc. will be given impetus from Bhagalpur district. Navgachia in-charge Pawan Mishra appreciated the organizational experience of Minister Dilip Jaiswal. He demanded from the district in-charge minister Dilip Jaiswal that the four-lane marine drive being built from Munger to Bhagalpur should be extended up to Mirzachowki.
A network of industries should be set up on Baida land in the district, so that the people here do not have to migrate. Many people including Raman Karna of Nagrik Vikas Samiti, social worker Kamal Jaiswal, Abhay Ghosh Sonu of Durga Puja Maha Samiti, Brajesh Sah of Kali Puja Samiti, Bhola Mandal of Vishahari Puja Samiti addressed the gathering.
Before this, a grand welcome was given at the Circuit House by BJP District President Santosh Kumar, MLA Rohit Pandey, E Shubhananand Mukesh, Dr. NK Yadav, BJP NDA party workers and local public representatives, in which they were presented with bouquets, garlands and corsets.
MLA honored with Ang Ratna Award, discussion on regional development
Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Memorial Trust organized a felicitation ceremony for the MLAs of Ang constituency at a local hotel in the city. In the programme, Ang Ratna Award was given to the MLAs for regional development, social contribution and public service. Also, as a mark of respect, corsets, flower bunches and mementos were presented.
In this, all seven assembly MLAs of the district, Shailesh Kumar, Kumar Shailendra, Manish Kumar, Mithun Yadav, Subhanand Mukesh and Rohit Pandey were present. The function was presided over by Dr. SP. Singh, coordination was done by Dr. DP Singh. Speakers said that overall development of the civic sector is possible only with the active role of public representatives.
During this, along with the demand for constitutional recognition of Angika language, problems related to infrastructure, health and industry were discussed. The public demanded greenfield airports, construction of new bridges, smart city planning, flood management, food processing units, silk industry protection and improvement of urban roads. A large number of intellectuals including Mayor Vasundhara Lal, Deputy Mayor Salahuddin Hasan participated in the function.
