Jagran correspondent, Darbhanga. Tejashwi Yadav Executive President: The stir in the politics of Bihar has intensified after Tejashwi Yadav was made the national executive president in the national executive meeting of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). Bharatiya Janata Party has reacted sharply to this decision. Bihar BJP President Sanjay Saraogi has called this a proof of deep roots of nepotism in RJD.
Issuing a release, Sanjay Saraogi said that Tejashwi Yadav becoming the working president will prove to be the last nail in the political coffin of RJD. He said that Tejashwi Yadav's achievements in his political career so far have been limited only to allegations of corruption. From studies to politics, he has failed in every field.
He further said that giving such a big responsibility to Tejashwi Yadav, who has reached the pinnacle of failure, shows the helplessness of the RJD family. There are experienced and senior leaders like Abdul Bari Siddiqui, Jagdanand Singh and Uday Narayan Choudhary present in the party, yet by promoting Tejashwi, RJD has proved that the roots of dynasticism are very strong in the party.
Sanjay Saraogi said that this may be an internal matter of RJD, but the way the voice of protest against this decision is being raised from within the family itself, it is not a good sign for the future of the party. According to him, RJD is now slowly moving towards political extinction.
It is noteworthy that during the inaugural session of RJD's national executive meeting held on Sunday, party president Lalu Prasad Yadav had announced the appointment of Tejashwi Yadav as the national working president. This is being seen as a sign of the end of Lalu era and change of leadership.
Political analysts believe that this decision is the beginning of a new phase within RJD. This is also being seen as the beginning of the Tejashwi era, in which the future direction and strategy of the party will be decided.
