Where thieves targeted the house of BJP Western Mandal President Uday Shankar Choudhary and made away with about Rs 1 lakh in cash and gold jewelery and other valuables worth more than Rs 5 lakh.

Homeowner BJP leader Uday Shankar Chaudhary told that he had returned home late on Wednesday night after attending a tribute meeting organized in the Panchayat. When I woke up on Thursday morning, things were scattered in the bedroom and other rooms.

Briefcase, wife's purse and other items were found missing from the room. The lock of the door at the back of the house was broken. A broken briefcase was found lying in the field adjacent to the house. He told that his wife Sandhya Devi is the Panas of Powai Panchayat.

Told that the thieves stole jewelery worth about five lakh rupees, about one lakh rupees in cash and other valuables from the wife. It is feared that the thieves climbed onto the roof from the back side of the house, climbed down with the help of a ladder and broke the lock of the gate and carried out the incident.

The homeowner told that he and his father wake up twice every night. But none of the family members woke up on Wednesday night. He expressed apprehension that the thieves had carried out the theft by spraying anesthetic chemical. On receiving information about the incident, police reached Dial 112 and investigated. Police have started investigation on the application of BJP leader regarding the incident.

The police seems completely helpless in front of the thieves gang operating in the area. The police are busy solving the mystery of a theft incident. Meanwhile, the gang of thieves is exposing the security system by committing another theft. However, the police has also been successful in uncovering some theft incidents.

Case Study A fortnight ago, thieves broke into Basuki Bhagat's house at Bus Stand Chowk in the city and stole cash and jewelery worth around Rs 10 lakh.
