Delhi Police found dead bodies of husband and wife in the drain. Awakening

Jagran correspondent, West Delhi. The bodies of a husband and wife, missing for a week, were found in Kakrola dirty drain located in Najafgarh of Dwarka district in West Delhi on Friday afternoon. The deceased have been identified as Munna Lal, 58, and his wife Ramvati Devi (55). This couple was missing from Bindapur police station area since January 17, the complaint of which was lodged with the police by their son Ritesh.

At around 12 noon on Friday, a cab driver informed the personnel posted at Kakrola Ganda Nala picket about two bodies lying in the drain, after which SI Raj Kumar of Najafgarh police station reached the spot with the team and took out the bodies from near Kher Baba Mazar.

Dwarka District DCP Ankit Singh said that a mobile phone was recovered from the pocket of the deceased Munna Lal. When contacted on that number, he was identified as Ritesh, who is the registered owner of the recovered mobile.

Ritesh told that his parents were missing for a week. The deceased couple belonged to the working class and their son Ritesh worked as a laborer in auto parts. According to police, the bodies were partially decomposed and preliminary investigation revealed no visible injury marks on the bodies. The police are immediately waiting for the postmortem report in this case, so that it can be clear whether the cause of death is murder or suicide.

Also, to solve the mystery of this death, the police is thoroughly interrogating the couple's son and other people close to them. The crime team has also inspected the incident site. In the initial investigation, the police have not found any clue of any conspiracy (foul play), but investigation is going on from all aspects. The bodies have been sent to RTRM Hospital.

Second incident in a week

This is the second major incident of a dead body being found in the district within a week. Earlier on January 19, the body of a youth was found in Chhath Park located in Dwarka Sector-15. The dead body of that young man was murdered and thrown there, whose face and neck had deep marks of attack with a sharp weapon. In that case, the police had also received CCTV footage, in which a person was seen dragging the dead body and throwing it in the park, but till now the police have neither been able to identify the body nor have been able to reach the accused.
