Jagran correspondent, Moradabad. From Saturday morning, a day after the rain, the mood of the weather changed. Sometimes the sky was cloudy and sometimes the sun was shining, but the effect of cold did not diminish. Due to moisture in the air and cold breeze, there was melting and chill. The minimum temperature was recorded at 9 degrees Celsius.
The weather changed due to rain yesterday
Earlier, on the day of Vasant Panchami, the weather had taken a sudden turn. There was rain and thunder in the city and surrounding areas. There were many flashes of lightning during the day. Due to which people walking on the road got scared and stood at a safe place. There was waterlogging at many places and the body shivered even due to the cold wind. The working people got drenched in the rain. As per the forecast issued earlier, the sky remained densely cloudy since morning and the melting and chill increased due to strong wind.
Beneficial for farming, wheat crop will get benefit
This drizzle in the weather has brought relief to the farmers. According to experts, this is the first rain of this season, which is considered especially useful for the wheat crop. Light rain will increase moisture in the soil and help in the growth of crops. The sun was shining continuously for the last three-four days, due to which the day started feeling slightly warm. But now due to rain and clouds the cold has increased again.
The Meteorological Department says that it will be cold for one or two days, after which the temperature will gradually become normal. It hasn't rained much. Which is beneficial for the cultivation of mustard, gram and peas. Whereas in vegetable farming, crops like fenugreek, spinach and coriander are expected to be affected by rain.
