Jagran correspondent, Moradabad. The much-awaited patriotic film Border 2 became famous as soon as it was released in the theaters of the city on Friday. There was tremendous enthusiasm among the audience since morning regarding this film, which was released on the auspicious occasion of Basant Panchami. Despite the rain, almost all the major cinema halls of the city remained houseful. There was a crowd of people outside the theaters since the first show in the morning.
People watched the film Border, which was released 28 years ago, in theaters with the entire family, reviving their memories. The strong presence of stars like Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, Ahan Shetty and Sonam Bajwa in the film kept the audience engaged for 3 hours 15 minutes.
Sunny Deol's aggressive style once again reminds the audience of the old days. As soon as Varun Dhawan's dialogue, "This time we will not enter the border, we will change the border itself", echoed on the screen, the whole hall echoed with applause and whistles.
Story of the film: Sunny has returned again in the role of Paaji Fateh Singh. It begins with the India-Pakistan war of 1971, where the enemy country once again tries to infiltrate the border of India with its nefarious intentions. But unaware that Fateh Singh of the Sikh Regiment is standing with his soldiers to welcome them.
Here, Major Hoshiar Dahiya alias Varun Dhawan along with his soldiers is preparing to foil all the nefarious plans of Pakistan. Here Hoshiar Dahiya remembers his two friends, whose photographs he has brought with him. From here the story goes back 10 years when Hoshiyar meets Mahendra Singh Rawat (Ahan Shetty) and Nirmal Singh (Diljit Dosanjh).
The film now shows the National War Academy in the year 1961 where all three services are trained together. It is here that Hoshiar meets Mahendra and Nirmal. From here the story of the film progresses and all three, away from their families, find their own families in each other.
Craze for Border 2 seen in every class
Many Friday shows at Wave Cinema, PVR and other multiplexes in the city were already houseful. Wave Cinema manager Chaman Kumar said that the film is getting tremendous response. The audience has booked tickets in advance till January 26 not only online but also through the window.
Viewer Khushi Gupta said that due to the emotional connection with Border, the passion of watching Border 2 is different. We had booked six tickets with friends four days in advance.
Patriotic songs boosted enthusiasm
The songs of the film are also being liked very much by the audience. The main patriotic song of the film Sarhad Ki Mitti Pukaare creates applause as soon as it hits the theatres. This song perfectly describes the courage of the soldiers and their willingness to die for the country. Whereas emotional songs like 'Maa Tujhe Salaam' made the audience emotional.
