Jagran correspondent, Patna. The annual matriculation examination conducted by Bihar School Examination Board is starting from 17th February (Tuesday). The examination will be held at 1,699 centers in the state. A total of 15,12,687 candidates will appear in it.

The board has issued strict instructions regarding security and arrangements regarding the examination. There will be arrangements for CCTV and videography at the examination centres. Also, the main gate will be closed half an hour before the start of the examination. The board has said that candidates will have to enter the center at least 30 minutes before the commencement of the examination. Entry will not be granted if you arrive late.

Four model examination centers have been created in each district for girl students. The examination committee said that students are prohibited from coming wearing shoes and socks. Students will appear in the examination wearing slippers. There will be a ban on entry of any unauthorized person at the examination centre. Apart from this, there is a complete ban on carrying mobile phones.

Action will be taken against the presence of unauthorized people even within 200 meters of the examination centre. The board has also fixed the time for submission of OMR sheets and answer sheets, so that transparency is maintained in the conduct of the examination. Bihar Board has asked DM, SP and administrative officers of all the districts to strictly follow the instructions in conducting the examination.

70 centers in Patna, 71 thousand candidates will appear

70 examination centers have been set up in Patna district for a total of 71,022 candidates. 35,897 candidates will appear in the first shift. In this, there will be 19,069 girls and 16,828 boys, while in the second shift there will be 35,125 candidates, of which 18,968 girls and 16,157 boys will participate. If any candidate has a wrong photograph printed on his admit card or there is a discrepancy in the photograph, he will have to reach the examination center with the identity card.

If someone's admit card is lost or left at home, he will be allowed to appear in the examination after verification from the scanned photo present in the attendance sheet and roll sheet. The board said that this time BSEB unique ID has also been issued to every candidate.

Language subject exam on the first day

On February 17, the first day of matriculation examination, there will be examination for language subjects (Hindi, Bangla, Urdu, Maithili) in both the shifts. The first shift will be from 9.30 am to 12.45 pm and the second shift will be from 2 pm to 5.15 pm.

Candidates will get 15 minutes extra time to read the question paper. Blind and physically handicapped candidates who are unable to write on their own have been allowed to hire scribes. Such candidates will be given 20 minutes extra time per hour.
