Jagran Bureau, New Delhi. The BJP hit out at Rahul Gandhi, saying he has exposed the Congress's "hatred, insult and disregard" towards Lord Ram by calling the 'VB-Ji Ram Ji' Act as 'VB Gram Ji'.

BJP national spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi alleged that the Congress's statement was a disrespectful attitude towards Lord Ram and also shows their commitment to the concept of the Tamil Nadu government, which intends to end Sanatana Dharma. Apart from this, he has also accused Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru of insulting Netaji Subhash Chand Bose.

"The Congress has no right to claim the legacy of Mahatma Gandhi, whose last words were 'Ram', with such disregard for Lord Ram," BJP leader Trivedi said at a press conference at the party headquarters on Friday.

The BJP's attack came after Rahul Gandhi said during a labor conference here that he could not remember the name of the new law while referring to the now-repealed Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MNREGA). He asked the audience if it was 'VB Gram Ji'.

Responding sharply, Trivedi said, "There is a saying - 'Ram in the mouth, knife in the side', but here the person, who calls himself a devotee of Lord Shiva, who proudly displays his sacred thread on his kurta and proclaims his 'gotra', cannot take the name of Ram."

"This shows the hatred, insult and disregard of the Congress party towards Lord Ram and it also highlights their commitment to destroy Sanatan Dharma," he said.

Apart from this, the BJP Rajya Sabha MP also attacked Congress on the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. Sudhanshu Trivedi claimed that many malicious attempts were made to suppress and forget the contribution of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, who played the leading role in the country's independence.

Not only this, he held Nehru responsible for not allowing investigation into Bose's death even after independence, not giving respect to the soldiers of Azad Hind Fauj, not allowing the statue to be installed in Delhi and the picture in Parliament.

Trivedi said that Netaji has clearly written on page number 288 of 'Collected Works' Volume 9 and in the letter written to his nephew that no one else has caused as much harm to him personally as Pandit Nehru did.

He asked Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee that if she has even a little respect for Netaji, then Trinamool Congress should remove the word Congress from its name, otherwise the enlightened people of Bengal will demolish him from Trinamool.
