Jagran correspondent, Agra. Dakshinanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (DVVNL) is busy preparing for summer. The capacity of 14 sub-stations is being increased so that consumers can get uninterrupted electricity. Along with this, the capacity of 509 transformers will be increased and 309 new ones will be installed. For this, Rs 54 crore has been approved under the business plan. Capacity enhancement works have been started. All work will be completed before summer.

In the summer season, complaints of tripping, faults and transformers panting and blowing due to excessive load have become common. Complaints from consumers to public representatives were common last year. Keeping these conditions in mind, five MVA transformers will be converted into 10 MVA in various 14 sub-centres of the district. The 10 MVA transformer at Bichpuri sub-centre will be converted to 20 MVA.
Approved business plan to provide uninterrupted electricity
The capacity of more than five hundred transformers ranging from 20 KVA to 400 KVA will be increased. 265 have been done so far. New transformers will be installed there. Along with this, power cables will also be changed. Wherever there are complaints of burning cables, they will be replaced. Dilapidated and bent electric poles will also be replaced. Under the business plan for the year 2025-26, Rs 54 crore has been approved for the district. All work will be completed before summer arrives.
